Despite our current economy condition and housing market, the real estate industry is still an extremely competitive businesses in today’s world. One reason is the freedom to be your own boss, and the ability control your own destiny. Other reasons include the high return on selling a piece of property. Another reason is that you can work at selling real estate as a part time job, or as your main income source. Many retired people decide to sell real estate just because it can be fun and often rewarding. But because of the number of hungry realtors in the market, having a well designed website and promotional material will make you stand out from the competition, and quite often the key to ones success.

People and potential customers tend to be attracted to certain images or designs. Although in reality a company’s design or image does not make it a better product, or service. It does make it more recognizable, and it may make it seem more successful simply because of a clever and well designed business card, advertisement, image or logo.

Clever or catchy logos, slogans, tag lines, colors, and even the kind of paper your material is printed on make your piece stand out, and may make people remember a business easier. This is true in all aspects of business. Almost everyone associated the golden arches as a McDonalds restaurant. The same holds true in the real estate market. How ’bout that red, white and blue hot-air balloon? Designing a corporate logo that people can associate your company with the real estate industry could be the deciding reason a person chooses you over a competitor.

Below is one of my favorite examples. On the left is a box of business cards collected at a trade show. One cards stands above the rest (no pun intended). Clever!

The most important thing a business needs is for the public to remember or identify a product or service, with your business. If you asked a hundred adults what a “Kleenex” is, it’s a safe bet that a hundred people would say it is a facial tissue. The real answer is it’s a brand of tissue… This is why corporate branding is the key to a successful business… The concept is to identify a product or service with the identity of your business. Ordering a “Coke” is often heard in restaurants, versus ordering a cola. Coke is short for the Coca-Cola company but most shorten the beverage name, and simply refer to it as a “coke”. Every company, no matter what size, has a trade name. More often than not, one of the biggest driving factors of their success is their branding.

When the public associates the name of the company with a certain product, that company has found the ultimate success in brand recognition. Many people will purchase the product simply because it is recognizable. They may feel the product is more reliable, trustworthy, or better, just because they recognize the name. A well branded company also tends to have loyal customers. Others companies may offer the same product, and quality, but not generate the sales, simply because of brand loyalty. It is still very important to offer a quality product, but keep in mind that other companies may also be just as good. Consequently, good branding and corporate identity can play a deciding roll in a company’s survival or success.

We’ve been telling everyone that our new site was in the works and would be completed in “the near future”. Well, in the grand scheme of relativity, “the near future” could be as early as 6 or 7 light years from now. You see, the thing is that we’ve been so busy building everyone else’s sites that we just never seem to find time to finish our new one. So instead of dropping an info-bomb of a site on the World Wide Web, we’re going to ease it on out like a southerner stepping out of an icebox and into that soggy mid-summer afternoon air. Our goal: Look sharp in our new seersucker threads, look cool (even when it’s impossible), and do it all while trying not to break a sweat.

Several have asked why on earth would we want a new site when our existing one was all blingy and cool looking. Well, according to Google and a few others, there’s more to life than flashy bling (what ev-errrr!). So we decided that it’s high time for us to show the world that we’ve got game in the wide world of Web 2.0 (bling can always be added later). Meanwhile, if you really miss our old site or simply need a bling fix, you can still find it here.

What can you expect from this outrageous new monstrosity? Well, you’ll just have to keep coming back to see. Of course you could simply sign up for our newsletter, RSS feed, or follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and other social media platforms to get the latest as it happens.

Thanks to everyone for their patience and we are happy to announce that the near future is officially right around the corner
